How does this work? Is it just a free-for-all with cars lining up for runs regardless of class? Are there certain skill areas? Timing available?
TIA

Dec 12 2006, 10:46 AM
We will have timers for sections of the course. The Course will change through out the day depending on what areas people need to work on.
By no means will this be a free for all. Anyone stepping out of line will be escorted off site. This is not a SCCA event and is privately funded.
Classes are not recognized, as we are not competing. I hope this clears some things up. Please ask any questions you have as that is the only way to get info out of slow kids like me.
Prepayment is necessary to reserve your spot. Paypal can be used, and all of the information is on Evodrift.com

Thanks!!! I didn't mean to infer that free-for-all meant wild driving. I just wondered about the number of runs, class structure, etc.

The other events are Drift events......

Basically, this event is for serious autocrossers to be able to run their cars and be able to tune them. Between Chris and I, we should have plenty of available tools, jacks, stands, impact and I will even bring out my alignment stuff.
Hopefully, this event would go through as planned so we can run some more like these, and eventually into a school. Stay tuned for those details over the next few months.

I will bring out enough tools to rebuild your car while you are on site.
I hope this helps everyone to prepare his or her car for the upcoming year in autox.
I would like to see everyone attend all the TLAC and the Tours that are with in driving distance. I know I will!
Make sure you prepay, as the price will go up two weeks before the event date. I opened a Paypal account so it is even easier.

Dec 16 2006, 03:28 AM
I got the site updated so it will email you when you are aproved to attend. Then you will get another email when you have prepaid.
New site is pimp and should make things so much easier for us to host events like this in the future.
Thanks for the support guys.

When does the pre-register period end for this event. There is no date on the website.
ccarver
Dec 16 2006, 08:52 AM
Lets say 2 weeks before the event only because I am previding lunch and would like to budget. You can preregister anytime, but you must prepay 2 weeks before the event. After Jan 20th the price goes up to $75. I will get the site updated again asap.
Thanks

Paid up a little while ago. A BIG thanks for putting this together. Unlike street cars, ours is a little hard to take out on the back roads to play with. This will help a lot. Thanks again.

Ok guys, 9 more days untill the discounted preregistration is closed.
You must prepay to get the discount. Any payments received after the Jan 20th cut off will be subject to the increased rate.
This event will give some of you more seat time than you get all year attending regular autocrosses.
See you guys Feb 4th.

Done and paid.
Just not sure which car I'm bringing yet. Could be GSX or RX-7...depending on if I finish the GSX and don't have any problems.

I have secured a set of scales for the 4th. The cost to set your car up will be $10. That helps offset the cost of the scales. The owner is skilled in car set up and will help ballance your car on the scales. I am sure we can work on prices as not much is set in stone.
Bump for deadline for early reg.

Sheryl Bergeron, you do know you signed up for the drift event and not the test and tune. Would you like me to move you onto the T&T registration? I can fix it on my end with the click of a mouse.

All Fixed.
As for a schedule, we will have to be dynamic all day long.
I have a feeling we will split the pad into two sections and have the two sections change up as the day goes on. Then around 2 or so we will combine them and start to work on a full course set up to concentrate on skills that need work. Either way you will be tired of driving when you leave at 5pm.
Thanks for the support,

Alright. I got one more of my buddies to go (Kyle Taylor), So I am hoping for a good day to run the RX-7. I didn't finish the Mitsu in time (kinda bugging me since I'm so close), but I did manage to get the 255 V700's lined up for the RX-7.
Looking forward to a truly great super bowl sunday.
