A few days before event #2 I got rear ended on my way to work. Insurance totalled the car and offered me a whopping $1200 for it. I'm working on submitting over 4k in receipts, so hopefully I'll get more. It might be drivable but a metal line snapped off the back of the head leaving it with a nasty coolant leak. I'm thinking the head will have to be pulled to do this, that or get the whole motor drop down and give me some room between the firewall. Either way it's not worth it, I'm looking for a good shell to transfer everything over since I was already gathering a plethora of other performance parts to stick on. Here's the carnage:

If anyone know's of a clean e30 in the area (sluf?) give me a shout.

Bummer! I enjoyed seeing you run. Would make an excellent LeMons candidate, BTW.
Julius Miller had an E30 for sale: http://www.arrides.com/ARR/forums/index.ph...ic=8043&hl=

Hey Jonathon, sorry to see that happen. Hope no one was injured. There is an e30 parked in front of a house on Hwy 10, west of lake maumelle. Its on the right just before you get to the hwy 10 & hwy 9 junction. Its primer grey and it looks like it might be an "is". Basketweaves and a spoiler. I haven't stop to look since i only pass by early or late, and i have enough cars for now. Good luck.

I would buy that minus any fancy parts in a heartbeat as a lemons/chumpcar candidate. I promise to abuse the heck out of it and make all the body panels match the rear in a couple years.

Seriously, you want to get rid of it, I will buy it for the Lemons/Chumpcar price.

Milan - Any chance you might be able to stop and take a good look at that car? Maybe get contact info?

jmseaton - I think I remember your car, did you have some small add on fog lights?

I love the idea of this car living on as a lemons car. For those of you interested, email me jonfromage at hot mail dot com. I've already had a lot of offers on parts from it though. I already planned on taking off all the performance stuff so the car may be able to be taken away stock.

fifty - Thanks for posting the link to Julius' car, I think I'm going to take a look at it later this week.

Daniel: Want to team up on this?

How good a group we are: "Sorry about the accident Peter. Are you OK and everything? Alright you are fine, that's good. Can we buy your car for parts and a race car project then?"

No doubt. I want (no make that NEED) an E30 crap-can racer. This is the most perfect car (body damage).

Yeah man those are some amber corner lights I added on. The car is a sleeper(was), I had quite a bit of money wrapped up in the motor, but the V6 will be back up and running very soon. And good luck with your e30, I saw one on Craigslist in like memphis or somewhere close. You may check-into that?

For $400, I'd buy the weaves and he could have a free car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

PETER, I heard about your car 2 weekends ago, gawd that really sucks. I've seen it in person and we have chatted a bit at autox last year.

What's the status of the car? Did you sell it or part it?
